Measured Marketing OMS Design

While working as a lead designer at MMI, it became clear that we needed a customized Order Management System. Nothing that existed at this time on the market worked for what we needed. I worked with our team developer to build out our own system, instead!

With so many people needing to use it, on several different teams, it was really important to me to interview each team to see how they worked, what they needed, and what was missing in our current system (mostly just email based). It was necessary to ensure they had access to all needed information, but limited access to things that had nothing to do with their role. For example, designers didn’t need to see info like email sending lists, amount of impressions paid for, etc. At the same time, the email delivery and sending team had no need to see the creative briefs.

With roughly 300-500 campaigns a week, finding a way to organize a massive amount of info was key. We needed to be fast and efficient, and this OMS was intended to help with that.

Final Design

After much deliberation between a tab system vs a pop-out system, we went with a combination of sorts with both. There are tabs present, but they also can pop out for more extensive info (such as details of the creative brief and the email sends list).

Iconography

I designed a set of icons to be used within the OMS system, that were implemented as SVG files in the final product.
